JazzLatinoNewYork is now the blog of Jazz/Latino, inc. a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation registered as a public charity in the state of New York. We are located in the town of Guilderland, which is part of Albany County. Jazz/Latino, inc. has been in operation since the Fall of 2006. Our mission is to promote jazz and Latin jazz in the New York State Capital Region, highlighting the ways in which Afro-American and Afro-Caribbean musical traditions have come together in the United States. We wish to promote the work of Latino artists who play jazz and Latin jazz and North American artists who play Latin jazz.
